The WCHS Book and Game Clubs present S.T.E.A.M into Star Wars: a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, with Reading and Writing on January 11 from 9:30 to 2:30 at Washington Community High School.
Bring the whole family to this free event and join in live podcast recordings with Coffee with Kenobi, The Rebel Base Card Podcast, and The Hyperion Hub. Visit with local authors Andy Zach, J. Lawson, and Olivia Bennett, including author of The Star Wars Book and recently released Star Wars Encyclopedia, Dan Zehr. Visit with and check out the work of local artists Chris Grimm and Jeremy Berkley. We welcome creative artists from D20Dinner and Print to Play Design. Make buttons, code a robot with the Washington District Library, or explore a fun math algorithm with the WCHS Mathletes.
The WCHS robotics team will be on hand to discuss their competition robot, while the St. Pats First Lego League team will demonstrate their robot and tasks. Play games, win prizes, shop Zeeks Comics and Games, and participate in game demos. Try your hand at some Star Wars arts and crafts and get your picture with members of the 501 Imperial Legion.

- Don’t miss out on Star Wars Trivia hosted by Coffee with Kenobi host and Star Wars author Dan Zehr! Get six friends together and purchase a table for only $30. Trivia begins at 2:45. Proceeds from trivia will go to support the WCHS Game Club. Sign up for your table HERE!
- Spend the day playing games at the Gamers for Good Pop-up Con! Browse and play over 300 games from the collection. Donations are accepted to play, and the proceeds support the WCHS Game Club. The Pop-up Con is open from 9:30 to 3:45.
- Star Wars Unlimited Sealed Event: The event begins at 11:00 am, and registration of
$25 is paid at the event. Registration gives a player 6 Booster Packs of Star Wars Unlimited (SWU) cards that you will use to build a deck of 30 cards for competition. Then, you will be paired with other players for the tournament. Registration also includes a ticket for a meal deal at the concession stand. Raffle prizes for the SWU tournament include exclusive promo packs, Rare Showcase Cards, and other Star Wars products! A SWU demonstration/how-to-play workshop will begin before the tournament at 9:30 am.
Concessions will be available all day, including breakfast snacks and coffee in the morning, pizza for lunch, candy, popcorn, and drinks. Come dressed in costume to learn, play, read, create, play games, and have fun from a galaxy far, far away!
