Life Day Celebration at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park

For a limited time beginning Nov. 17, 2025, guests visiting Black Spire Outpost at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland park may encounter Chewbacca as he honors the longstanding Wookiee tradition of Life Day. During this festive time, Chewbacca will make appearances in the evenings, donning the traditional red robe with a glowing Life Day orb.

Life Day celebrates the values and tenets of Wookiee culture, including family, joy and harmony. Life Day celebrations originated on the Wookiee home planet of Kashyyyk and today, Wookiees across the galaxy still mark the occasion.
