Yesterday at the D23 Expo, new honorees were named as Disney Legends for 2019. Included were notables such as Christina Aguilera, Wing Chao, Robert Downey Jr., Bette Midler, Kenny Ortega, Barnette Ricci, Robin Roberts, Diane Sawyer, Hans Zimmer, Jon Favreau, Ming-Na Wen, and James Earl Jones.
We have some highlights of the Star Wars-related honorees below. Jon Favreau, showrunner for the first live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, Ming-Na Wen, who was announced as The Mandalorian‘s latest cast member, and the legendary James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader.
James Earl Jones could not be there in person, but he accepted the honor via video message. While the entire ceremony can be seen in the video below, we’ve cued it up to that particular message. (If it doesn’t work for some reason, the message begins around the 1:14:07 mark.)
**UPDATE**
Below are some video highlights from the Disney Legends handprint ceremony, press recap of the event, and soundbites from the honorees.
Thank you to Disney for the photos and videos.
