Hey Dan! I actually think the “Hero’s Journey” works pretty well for Anakin. I see Qui-Gon’s offer to take him to Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi as his Call to Adventure. In this case, Qui-Gon is the herald and Anakin’s reluctance to leave his mother behind is his Refusal of the Call.
