D23 Theme Park And Disney Cruise Line Announcements

During the “Horizons: A Carousel of Progress” showcase, Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum and host Neil Patrick Harris gave D23 fans a look at what’s ahead for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line and more.

Walt Disney Imagineers also took fans behind the scenes for an inside look at the stories and creativity shaping the future of Disney Experiences worldwide. The presentation featured project updates, first looks, new artwork and renderings, behind-the-scenes stories and creative insights, along with a closer look at how some of Disney Experiences’ most ambitious projects are progressing.

The showcase also featured appearances by Disney leaders, Imagineers, and special guests, including Bruce Vaughn, Leslie Iwerks, Jared Bush, Kevin Feige, Mark Rober, John Stamos, Tig Notaro, Darren Criss, Skylar Astin, Jack McBrayer, and Glenn Close. The evening included performances by Gloria Gaynor, Los Lobos, Sheryl Crow and Beck, along with musical moments from Megan Hilty, Darren Criss and Skylar Astin, accompanied by the show’s house band, The Phoenicians. Fans also received a special video message from Harrison Ford tied to the upcoming Indiana Jones attraction coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
