Awesome, Rob! 🙂 I always love your shows, and I can’t wait to listen (it’s been far too long; I’ve been incredibly busy the past few months, and am just now getting back into the swing of things.). Did you happen to catch the AFI’s Salute to the composer/conductor — and bestowing upon John Williams the 44th Life Achievement Award? I watched it on Turner Classic Movies earlier this week. It was fantastic! It had me tearing up. That’s what exceptional music does to me. 🙂

Thank you for paying homage to one of the greatest composers ever to take up the pen. 🙂

Glad you enjoyed it Melinda. I did catch the AFI tribute. Very much overdue tip of the hat.

I just finished listening, Rob. You chose some beautiful selections for this show (as always). 🙂 I was talking to my mom yesterday about how all one has to do is close one’s eyes when listening to a moving piece of music to be transported to another place and time…

…to the searing time of mid(ish)-20th century when atrocities were happening the world over, and yet it was possible to make a difference in the world and in the lives of at least some individuals…

…soaring to the stars, the moon and beyond…

    …to a magical world of sorcerers…

…to the terror that lurks just below the water’s surface…

…to the grand majesty of one’s hopes and dreams…

John Williams and his music take us there — and to so many other places. How blessed we’ve all been.

    MTFBWY 🙂
