United ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Themed Aircraft Takes Flight

Today, United’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker plane took off into the galaxy on its first flight from Houston George Bush Intercontinental to Orlando International Airport. United surprised customers and employees in Houston with appearances from Star Wars characters including Stormtroopers, D-O and BB-8.

Here was the itinerary for the event:

12:30 p.m. Musical Performance by Spirit of Houston Marching Band from the University of Houston begins

12:45 p.m. Stormtroopers march down terminal and appearance from Star Wars Characters

–Brief remarks from United’s VP of Houston and VP of Marketing

1:05 p.m. Airplane arrives at the gate, customers see plane for the first time

1:50 p.m. United passes out giveaways for customers as they board the flight

2:30 p.m. Flight departs to Orlando

5:50 p.m. Flight arrives in Orlando

When the plane arrived in Orlando, customers received special Star Wars themed Mickey Mouse ears complimentary from Walt Disney World and an appearance from Star Wars characters. The movie hits theaters on December 20, 2019.
