Here’s something for all the science lovers out there – and even those us who just appreciate good sci-fi or an epic space fantasy from time to time (or all the time). Could the space battles seen in those movies or television series actually happen? Is there science fact in the science fiction?

In the newest episode of PBS Digital Studios’ “It’s Okay to Be Smart,” “The Physics of Space Battles,” host Joe Hanson demystifies the weapons, combat tactics and transportation of our much-loved yet fictional deep space from inside the cockpit of his own spaceship and with a little help from his friend, Obi-Wan Newton.
