Of the new cast, Andy Serkis and Max von Sydow are the only two that I recognize. I can see von Sydow playing a villian, although having him be a Sith would be cool. I have no idea what type of character Serkis would play, or if we would even see his face.

What I’m interested in knowing is how much work Kenny Baker will actually do and how much he will be in the R2 costume. He’s getting old and his health is questionable. I’m glad he’s involved, because he made R2 alive. And I don’t see him in the picture above, neither is Anthony Daniels.

It is cool to see Harrison, Carrie, Mark, and Peter! Now I’m getting excited.

Domhnall Gleeson was in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (1 & 2) as Bill Weasley. His father is Brendan Gleeson, aka Mad Eye Moody.

I’m hoping we see Andy Serkis – the man – and not just CGI… but that’s probably what he’s doing. Either way, he’s fantastic. I’m really happy about him and Max von Sydow. Total shock on those two. I never even read any rumors about them!

Well, now Harrison Ford can stop being so coy on the talk show circuit. 😉

Good news all around. It will be great to see those classic characters back in the picture. 🙂
