So — Did you you see the live stream of the panel for The Force Awakens? Were you there in person? Or, if you missed it entirely — Here’s the second teaser trailer for the seventh installment of the Star Wars Saga….

You might want to have a tissue handy. I know I needed one! I get emotional… 😉

I was watching the live stream of J.J. and Kathleen’s panel down here in Australia while at work on night duty – I’m an ICU Nurse (it was roughly 3AM Australian time when they took the stage). I saw the entire panel and was literally getting weepy with all of the new images they were posting – Daisy Ridley is seriously beautiful btw. Anyway, right before J.J. introduced the new trailer the live stream went FADE TO BLACK!

I seriously nearly had a stroke but then I realized that the official site had posted it. I was initially so bummed because I dearly wanted to see the reaction of everyone in the auditorium but by the end of that two minutes, I was an emotional mess. Imagine it, a slightly hairy, male ICU Nurse laying on a gurney in a treatment room in the middle of the night while on break, weeping like a 5 year old.

In 1998 it took me 29 hours to download the Episode 1 trailer over dial-up and when I’d finally finished watching it for the first time I was buzzed but I wasn’t quite sure what I’d seen.

After watching the Episode 7 trailer in the past 24 hours, I knew that Star Wars was coming back…it was a religious experience.

Oh and one final thing – I watched the entire J.J. panel courtesy of Coffee With Kenobi’s blog post that had the stream embedded. Thank you so much guys.

You’re most welcome, Dean! Happy to help.

I was emotional, as well — although in the privacy of my own home. 😉 Isn’t it wonderful, the feelings that Star Wars stirs within all of us? I’m a passionate fan of many other things – Doctor Who, Captain America, Harry Potter, LOTR – but only Star Wars can make me cry! Everything about it just hits me on a deep level.

Ah, the days of dial-up! I remember them well…. sadly….

They better be bringing you home a suitcase full of swag as compensation.

Thank the Maker for the live stream though!
