I’m excited! I love the title, and I also the love the casual way they just sort of put it out there – “Oh, yeah… BTW…..” – then sat back and let the frenzy begin! Nicely handled. 😉

The Force Awakens sounds like it’s alluding to a resurgence of the Jedi.. all in all, I like it, I have no problem with this title at all.

I hope that the title is a perfect fit. There is hope in it, and enough uncertainty to keep us talking for the next 13 months and then years afterwards. I have always thought about the balance of the Force – is it 50/50? Light over Dark? Is the Force necessarily one or the other? I have my thoughts, obviously – good is real, evil and darkness are the antithesis (to some extent). The Force is a great power and we have never seen what it can do for the universe for those who are not corrupted by its unlimited power.

Everything from here until the opening will be torn to shreds by critics and cynics. But we will all line up to see it and love it…because at the base of it all, the worst of anything Star Wars, is better than the best of anything else. Always the optimist.

Love the title! I only hope the logo they’re showing is made to look like the other title graphics, ie Star Wars on the outside of a yellow box with the title inside.

There have been 6 episodes already, a couple cartoon series, books, comics, expanded universe. But the Force decides to awaken now? I’m intrigued as to what the title really means.

I think it sounds pretty fantastic as well. The metaphorical implications are strong, and reveals a mystical, ethereal quality to what we can expect, as far as a tone. As if I couldn’t be any more excited. Wow!

A great title. When all is said and done, however, it doesn’t matter what the fans think of the title. I know this might sound like blasphemy to some, but it’s true. I’m looking forward to the newest installment in the Star Wars Saga — no matter what its moniker. 🙂

I definitely like the way in which the title was revealed. 🙂 Very matter of fact. 🙂
