    I’ve watched the trailer twice already — and December can’t come soon enough for me! (Although that means winter will be here. 😉 )

    This film is going to fit right into the Star Wars Universe. 🙂 I can’t wait! And didn’t the casting director do a great job finding someone who looks like Mon Mothma of the OT? 🙂 And (should we assume?) Biggs? Awesome! 😀

      Genevieve O’Reilly was cast as Mon Mothma for Revenge of the Sith! Nice to see them ask her back.

      I doubt Diego Luna is Biggs. I’m betting the mustache is coincidental. Wouldn’t he have told Luke how he helped steal the Death Star plans?

        Not necessarily. Sadly, there wasn’t much time for the two good friends to catch up before they headed off to take on the Empire… and Biggs did not survive that engagement. 🙁 Just before jumping into the cockpits of their respective X-wings was the first time the twosome had seen each other in a long, long time, and the few words they were able to exchange gave promise that they’d be able to catch up when they returned to Yavin IV. Of course, that didn’t happen since Biggs fell victim to Darth Vader’s keen shot in the Rebels’ trench run. Another big loss for Luke to endure.

        Thus, while it certainly won’t adversely affect my enjoyment of the upcoming film if that character isn’t Biggs, it just might be. 🙂

          The more I think about it, the more I think Diego Luna could be Kes Dameron. That would be a really cool way to tie in to TFA.

          Besides, saying to Luke on the way to their X-wings, “Hey, this thing we’re about to destroy? I stole the plans! Tell ya about it after…” wouldn’t take too long. 😉

          Or even during the briefing when they say the plans were provided by Princess Leia… if Biggs was part of the heist, and was sitting right there, why not credit him?

          Seriously, though, adding Biggs seems too ‘small universe.’ Rogue One feels like it’s meant to expand Star Wars with new characters who don’t necessarily have connections to the ones we already know.

          And, I’m probably wrong about everything! 😉 We’ll know in December, either way. 🙂

            We’ll be able to say one way or the other then, won’t we. 🙂 Which means, of course —

            That we MUST go see the newest SW movie together! Then, we can discuss our musings, suppositions, and what really is IN PERSON. 🙂
            Now, that’s something to get excited about. 🙂
