A new opportunity for fans has been announced on the official Star Wars Facebook page. It’s called ‘Obi Wants to Know Me’ and it seeks to recruit fans – of varying degrees – who wish to become members of a community of advisors to Lucasfilm. Here’s the pertinent info:

Are you a Star Wars fan who would like to help shape the inner workings at Lucasfilm? You’ll be interested to know that several spots in our small, exclusive fan-based community of advisors has just been opened up for grabs! We are looking to recruit a broad range of fans to help give us direction in all things Star Wars.     I’ve been a “contributor” for Obi Wants To Know Me for about a year now, and it’s been a cool experience. They love all sorts of feedback from the fans, and occasionally you get a sneak peek at some artwork and other things.

    Well, I clicked on the “respond” link, and I think(?) I’m entered??? Who knows! They certainly don’t know who I am. I got what I consider a strange message. I’m certainly not a member of the site — tried to see if I could join, and there was NOTHING on the group’s home page. Does one have to be invited to join?

    And when I clicked on the official facebook page link, the message “this content is currently unavailable” appeared in the middle of the group’s BLANK facebook page. Go figure.

      Did they have you complete a survey? There were several steps to entering, including the survey and giving them your e-mail address. I just tried the link, and it took me to the first page of the process.

        Lisa, thank you so much for indicating to where you were led. No, I was not directed to the start of a survey in my attempt earlier today. When I clicked on the link, I got to a page that stated something to the effect: “Thanks for entering!”
        Thanks for entering WHAT??? I didn’t even give an email address! How would they know who I was! 🙁
        I just tried again, and, yes, I got to the survey pages, and went through all the steps. If I get chosen to be part of the “Obi Wants To Know Me” group, great! 🙂 If they pass on me, such is life. I’m already part of an incredible group right here at CWK!!! 😀
