With the release of the latest episode of Coffee With Kenobi, the flagship show will now have its own Video Gaming segment! This segment will go through talking about all matters of gaming in Star Wars from past to present and future. The most recent console game released was Star Wars Battlefront. I’ve had a lot of fun playing this game and you can read my review here. I thought this would be a perfect time to chronicle my many adventures from playing this wonderful game!
One of the most fun parts of playing in online multiplayer matches in Battlefront is getting the ever-cherished Hero Power-Up. As you can see in the two videos below, playing with Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader can be quite fun.
I am quite partial to Vader’s skill-set which involves the Force Choke, Saber Throw, and Heavy Strike. Running through Rebel soldiers while cutting them down from afar with a Saber Throw and tossing them around like rag-dolls with a Force Choke is a sight to behold.
Darth Vader during the Battle of Jakku. Totally canon!!! It’s always funny to get the Hero Power-Ups while playing on the Jakku map, Graveyard of Giants.
The scenery on the 2nd playable Jakku map, Goazon Badlands, is really something that can take you away the match at hand to just stare at. Here is a crashed Star Destroyer off in the distance and you can see other Destroyers up in the atmosphere.
Just hanging out there? In rarefied air? Looks like this little Rebel soldier got the worst end of an explosive blast. Occasionally I’ll see bodies of other players stuck in the air and it always gets my reflexes to jump to shoot some laser bolts at them to make sure they won’t be shooting back at me.
Ain’t no party like a Stormtrooper party cause a Stormtrooper party don’t stop! Before each match officially starts there is a waiting period for all players to spawn into the level and you often get images like this. It always gets a chuckle out of me.
Unlocking a trophy mid-Force Choke? Certainly something worthy of the Dark Lord of the Sith.
Taking a few seconds from a match to observe your surroundings at nighttime on the Forest Moon of Endor is always worth it. Hear the birds chirping, Ewoks scattering about, and AT-STs on the move. What could be better?!
If you want to be sure you end up at the top of the leader board during Fighter Squadron, getting Slave I will give you the best opportunity to get there. A full arsenal of weaponry and bulky health can make you feel just like you’ve donned the Mandolorian armor yourself.
Valentine’s Day weekend was a special weekend for many of us. Double Experience weekend!!! Utilizing the Double Experience to my full advantage, I used it to reach the ultimate prize of Rank level 50! Reaching Rank 50 allows you to unlock the Princess Leia figure in the Diorama as well as the Twi’lek soldier for the Rebel Alliance and the Shadowtrooper for the Empire.
Lastly is another video I captured of a fun kill-streak I had on Hoth during a Walker Assault match. Utilizing a wide range of weapons from my trusty EE-3 Carbine rifle, the incredibly loud Thermal Imploder, and the always reliable Thermal Detonator.
