Earlier this month, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art revealed the conceptual designs for the facility, and the reaction around Chicago has been… spirited. Some love it, others not so much. One thing is for sure, there is nothing like it anywhere else! That is due in large part to the creativity of Ma Yansong, the architect chosen by George Lucas to bring his dream project to life. In the video below, you can hear him discuss the inspiration and vision behind the design.

However, there are those who are fighting the proposed museum, no matter what form it takes. Friends of the Parks, a non-profit group dedicated to maintaining the open space on the Chicago lakefront, is in the process of filing a lawsuit in federal court designed to bring the plans for the museum to a halt. Both sides will be able to voice their concerns, and offer clarity where questions still exist, when they appear before the court.
