posterConsumers and connoisseurs of Stars Wars are revered for their patience and ability to stick with a story from the start to end. Cognizant of that, LINE Webtoon says fans of its critically-acclaimed adaptation of the Original Trilogy can “binge scroll” through all 40 chapters of its Star Wars webtoon AND bookmark their spot if they have to take a break.

Makes splendid sense, given how binge consumption of entertainment is de rigueur and part of the global fabric.

kenobi3“In the age of Netflix and Hulu, users have become accustomed to binge consuming their favorite content,” said JunKoo Kim, founder and head of LINE Webtoon, in an emailed statement.

“Now with the infinite scroll within the binge mode and the introduction of bookmarking, we’re excited to make LINE Webtoon even more convenient for our readers to consume the digital comics they love,” Kim said.

“Whether readers are looking to catch up on Star Wars, or beginning to binge all 400 episodes of our hit comic Noblesse, they will be able to easily and seamlessly read all of our series,” he added.

The move comes in tandem with a new bookmarking feature, too, which ensures that if a reader must take a break, their place isn't lost. That service, like binge mode, is offered on the website and through the LINE Webtoon app at the Apple app store or Google Play.
