Lucasfilm, Disney, and Omaze are teaming up for a new charitable initiative to benefit UNICEF’s Innovation Labs and other programs for children around the world.

From the Official Star Wars website:

Disney is committing $1 Million to support the launch of Star Wars: Force for Change which will benefit UNICEF.

Star Wars: Force for Change is a brand new charitable initiative from Disney and Lucasfilm in collaboration with Bad Robot dedicated to finding creative solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems. The first Star Wars: Force for Change campaign will raise funds and awareness for UNICEF’s Innovation Labs and its innovative projects benefitting children in need.

Star Wars continues to inspire generations of dreamers and doers to use their creativity to do great things. Between what is now and what can be lies innovation – the triumph of human ingenuity combined with advances in science and technology. Star Wars and Lucasfilm were built on a belief in this tenet, by combining creativity with innovation you can make the impossible now possible.

As Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi once said, “The Force is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us. It penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.” Dedicated to finding creative solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems, Force for Change captures the power of innovation to make a positive impact in our global community.
Join us and together we can harness the power of the Force to make a difference around the world.

Your donation will support UNICEF’s Innovation Labs and other programs doing innovative work for children.
