The network TCM (Turner Classic Movies) will be airing an in-depth documentary with Star Wars creator George Lucas as part of their “A Night at the Movies” series.

Here is the summary from the TCM website:

A Night at the Movies: George Lucas & the World of Fantasy Cinema features an engrossing new interview with the famed director who discusses the origins and evolution of fantasy cinema, the influence of certain films on his own career, the differences between fantasy and science fiction, as well as what the future holds for the genre. Along the way, Lucas examines a variety of influential films including King Kong (1933), The Wizard of Oz (1939), Dr. Strangelove (1964), Planet of the Apes (1968), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Back to the Future (1985), Labyrinth (1986) as well as an in-depth discussion of his own iconic Star Wars series.

“George Lucas and the World of Fantasy Cinema” is scheduled to air on Tuesday, November 25 at 8pm E.T. on TCM, with a rebroadcast time of 11:15 pm E.T.
