I agree completely with GL about the “cookie cutter” film onslaught. It really will be the death of Hollywood the studio execs don’t wake up. Where do we (I’m talking about our family) spend most of our movie $$$? At the INDEPENDENT film houses! If I’m going to spend $10 or more on a movie, I DON’T want to see the same film I saw last year or last month or last week. Give us a film that makes us think, feel, CARE! 🙂
I don’t think everything is lost, of course. There is hope. 🙂

George said it best. There is no creativity in movie-making now. Every movie is either a prequel, sequel, or reboot, or based on material already on the market, like comic books. While I’m a fan of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, I would love to see some movies that are completely new.

I would love to see the complete interview.
