The Dark Lord of the Sith gets his due as Marvel Entertainment releases the variant covers planned, so far, around the February launch of Star Wars: Darth Vader, a monthly series focusing on Vader and how he recovered from the destruction of the Death Star to remain a rallying point for the Empire and a totem of evil for the Rebellion.
Also in the offing that month is issue No. 2 of Star Wars, the cover of which focuses on Han Solo and Chewbacca in what appears to be a fight of extraordinary magnitude against Imperial forces.
