Domhnall Gleeson, one of the newly announced stars of Star Wars Episode VII, recently spoke to MTV about joining another major franchise, and his policy on spoilers.

Having already appeared in one major movie franchise – he played Bill Weasley in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2 – Gleeson felt comfortable enough joining the cast of Episode VII:

“The truth of the matter is, I was in ‘Harry Potter’ and I can walk in the street and no one bothers me,” Gleeson continued. “It’s totally fine. The only reason I’m doing ‘Star Wars’ is because the script is great, because J.J. [Abrams] is great, and because the cast are great. And that’s what you look for in any movie. So in a way, it’s just another job.”

When asked about his role in Star Wars, he was mum – as one would expect:

“I could destroy my life if I gave away one of the secrets, really quickly,” Gleeson said. “I’m just always with a no-talk policy about it.”

He also has a clear policy regarding spoilers – similar to what Mark Hamill had to say during his recent appearance at Disney’s Star Wars Weekends:

“I enjoy going to a film and being surprised, maintaining that is an important thing generally,” Gleeson noted. “I’m going to keep my mouth shut until the movie is all the way out and on DVD. So I don’t upset anyone.”

Gleeson is also sporting some facial hair – Could it be related to Mark Hamill’s Jedi-like facial hair?

“No, but I haven’t been on set for a couple of weeks, so that doesn’t give anything away.”
