Fans who wish to experience Star Wars on the really, really big screen can rest easy today. Walt Disney Studios has secured a deal with IMAX Corporation that will ensure that Star Wars: Rogue One will get the full giant screen treatment when it opens on December 16, 2016.
In addition to Star Wars, the multi-picture deal also includes the highly anticipated Marvel films Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Doctor Strange.
It also includes family films such as Finding Dory, Toy Story 4, Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and the Jungle Book remake.
The deal starts this year and runs through 2017.
