March came in like a lion but didn’t end like a lamb, at least not in the pages of Marvel’s Star Wars comics, that’s for certain.
Join us we take a deep dive into the latest issues of Star Wars: Darth Maul #2, Star Wars: Poe Dameron #12 and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #5. We’re also looking ahead to Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, too, with details about the Coffee With Kenobi Podcast meet-up, panels that are focused on Star Wars comics along with pertinent details about what you can get from us, cheap as free, if you’re going to the big event.
Our chief question? What will Celebration mean for Marvel’s Star Wars comics? We don’t know, yet, but one thing’s for certain: Don’t stop believing.
In the first part of this episode, hosts Matt Moore and Jeff McGee talk with Otis Frampton, the comics artist behind the series Oddly Normal who is waging a social media campaign for Marvel to publish his proposed Jawa Adventures comics series that blends both humor and more about the Saga’s favorite purveyors of quality droids and more.
You may also know Frampton from his work on the amazingly creative and popular How It Should Have Ended series of animated shorts on YouTube that looks at movies, TVs and more with ends that, perhaps, were more suitable and appropriate.
We’re confident you’ll find his words to be informative and inspiring and, once you get a gander at the 55 covers for his proposed series that he’s done up — yes, really, 55 of them — that it’d be a welcome addition to the new library of Marvel Star Wars comics.
