This figure celebrates the Kenner Original 96 Power of the Force Imperial Gunner. This figure body was all new for its 2019 release on a Rogue One cardback, and we are excited to adapt him for the Original Trilogy with this Return of the Jedi cardback. The key difference between the Rogue One figure release and this new version is the Imperial shoulder logos, which appeared in the ROTJ uniforms. For the cardback image, we tried to restore some of the original filmout shot and reduce some airbrushing from the original card art for a more movie accurate look. ~ Emily Cantelupe (Sr. Product Designer)

This R2-D2 Sensorscope figure is a fun callback to an Original 96 Kenner Empire Strikes Back cardback from 1981, which had a unique look from many of the others, showing R2-D2 and C-3PO on a bright blue backdrop. We thought this was a unique and nostalgic card! The original item that this is inspired by was Kenner’s re-release of R2-D2 to include his extended sensorscope feature, which R2 used as a periscope to navigate the swampy waters of Dagobah. R2-D2 is a classic Star Wars character, and one that we enjoy bringing back for both established and new to the line collectors to add to their Star Wars figure world. ~ Emily Cantelupe (Sr. Product Designer)
