“It’s going to be really interesting, because we are way ahead with ticket sales from where we usually are this far out,” said Mary Franklin, senior events and fan relations lead for Lucasfilm. “I feel safe saying this is going to be the biggest one yet.”

They are way ahead of tickets sales because that’s been the strategy all along and even though the art work is cool, having all characters with blasters/weapons and NO LUKE! is not what I had envisioned.

The poster really is a work of art! Although, like lovelucas, I am a bit surprised that Luke is not somewhere in the image. Maybe, because Han is featured, he is the key character for CVII, like Boba Fett was for CVI. Not that the Celebration will be all about him (just like CVI wasn’t all about BF), but that could be the premise.

Sadly, it still looks like I won’t be going. I certainly look forward to all the thrilling tales everyone who does attend shares with us! 🙂
